Going to the Park - Simple Summer Fun for Everyone!
My kids love going to the park in the summer. They would
love going to the park in the winter, for that matter, but there
is just too much snow at that time of the year!
A park seems to have something for everyone. Swings and slides for the
little tykes, sun and room to run for older kids. And, for us adults a
park can be a little haven of rest (if you don’t bring the kids!) or a nice
change of pace from a hectic schedule.
One thing our family loves to do during the summer is to pick up lunch
from a fast food restaurant, (I think I love this part the most!), and then
go to a park to enjoy our ‘picnic’ lunch.
We love to sit along the water’s edge and enjoy the beautiful scenery and
the warm sun. (In our town, we are blessed with a fairly large-sized lake,
smack dab in the middle of town). Water can be so soothing ...
Take a break out of your busy schedule this summer and enjoy a ‘picnic’ at
the park - you’re kids will love it. And, I bet you will too!
